Company Origin
Although Nostos Tours specializes in tours in English, they also offer two tours in Spanish that
have become some of the most interesting Free Tours in the city.
Nostos comes from Greek (it is the root of the word "nostalgia"); it means journey, specifically the return from a journey. Their logo clearly represents a ship sailing the Mediterranean. Nostos Tours aims to evoke what we acquire during a trip: knowledge, culture, and a complete experience.
Their tours are themed products: the first is a route about the Civil War, visiting the sites where clashes took place or bombs fell in Barcelona. The second is the Dark Tour, which explores mysteries, legends, and even the marks of the Inquisition in the city's Old Town.

Originally from Crete, he is a history and philosophy professor and has been guiding groups in Barcelona, where he resides, since 2016.
Evan Chatzimichalis
Co-Founder
A native of Greece and a history professor in Athens, he traveled the world before finally settling in the city he loves so much, Barcelona.
