DESCRIPTION

We will mainly walk along Passeig de Gràcia, a hub for leisure and social gatherings for Barcelona's residents since the second half of the 19th century. A stroll through the neighborhood that has made the city a world-class example of urban planning.

We will discover the essence of Modernism (Catalan Art Nouveau), the artistic movement at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. Its works, created for the wealthiest bourgeois families of the era, rivaled each other in beauty and opulence to the amazement of the locals.

The visit ends at the Sagrada Familia, reviewing its façades, which describe and explain the birth, life, and death of Jesus. A look into all the symbolism that Antoni Gaudí poured into his most ambitious project.
